Abstract
Objectives: To development of diagnostic test kits for central auditory processing disorder (CAPD) and get normative data of Korean subjects with normal hearing.

Study Design: Thirty-eight subjects (15 male and 13 female) with normal hearing participated in this study. Frequency & duration pattern tests and dichotic test were administered to subjects after pure tone audiometry certified that they had normal hearing threshold.

Results: Frequency pattern test showed that mean score was 28.5¡¾2.7 (28.3¡¾3.1 in male and 28.8¡¾3.1 in female). Duration pattern test showed that mean score was 28.4¡¾2.1 (29.1¡¾1.8 in male and 27.8¡¾2.4 in female). Dichotic test showed that right and left mean scores were 27.5¡¾1.5 and 27.9¡¾1.6 respectively. There were no significantly differences between male and female in frequency & duration pattern test and between right and left in dichotic test.

Conclusion: These results support the use of these tests as a screening procedure or part of a test battery for diagnosis of CAPD in adult population.
